Hire the Silicon Valley engineer behind AI at Y Combinator startups.
GPU inference clusters. Autonomous calling agents. Vision AI in live logistics operations. HIPAA-compliant healthcare systems. 28 years of coding experience, and you work with him directly, not a junior team.
Free 30-minute call. You'll leave with a clear plan, whether or not we work together. Or call (415) 639-4483.
What brings you here?
Most of our clients come to us with one of two goals.
I need my product built.
You have the idea, and you need a technical partner you can trust to design, build, and launch version one.
- Launch fast, at a fixed price
- Built by the engineer, not handed to juniors
- Ready for customers and investors
- Code you own, that won't need a rewrite
I want AI doing the work my team does by hand.
Phone calls, data entry, documents, scheduling, reviewing footage. AI that takes on the work, so your team handles more without hiring more.
- Lower labor costs on repetitive work
- Grow without adding headcount
- Fewer errors, faster turnaround
- Secure and HIPAA-compliant when needed
Your product, built by someone who's been a founder.
Most founders are stuck choosing between an agency that hands the work to juniors and a freelancer who disappears. We've founded and sold a company, and built most of the production product at a Y Combinator startup. We build version one like it's our own.
- Product strategy included. We help decide what goes in version one, and what waits.
- Design to launch. UI, backend, AI, payments, sign-in, analytics, and hosting, handled for you.
- Fixed price. You know the cost before we start.
- Investor-ready. Architecture and documentation that hold up in technical due diligence.
- After launch: keep building with us, or bring us in as your fractional CTO.
Let AI take the repetitive work off your team.
We've built AI phone agents that call patients, book appointments, and schedule follow-ups across multiple clinics, on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. We build the same kind of system around your process, connected to the tools you already use.
- AI phone agents that make and take calls, book appointments, and follow up.
- Document & data automation that pulls information out of emails, PDFs, and forms.
- Camera & video AI that measures, inspects, and reviews footage.
- Ask-your-data assistants so staff get answers in plain English.
- Already have AI that isn't working? Start with a fixed-price AI Production Audit.
The problems that take others days, solved in hours.
Sameer's specialty is the hard problem that takes veteran engineers three to five days to untangle. He often has the answer in a few hours, sometimes in minutes. He spent more than six years building AI scheduling algorithms that optimize the most complex schedules in seconds, used by Minor Hotels and Mount Sinai NYC.
- Optimization algorithms. Scheduling, staffing, and planning problems with thousands of constraints, solved in seconds.
- Database refactoring. Schema redesign, safe migrations, and queries that go from slow to instant.
- Complex code made elegant. Tangled systems rebuilt into clean code your team can actually change.
- Systems that run like a factory. Fragile scripts and manual steps turned into reliable, automated pipelines.
- The bug nobody can find. The one your team has been stuck on for a week.
Silicon Valley engineering, without the Silicon Valley hiring process.
These aren't demos. They're production systems with real users, real load, and real consequences when they fail.
Autonomous AI calling agents
Voice agents that call patients, understand the outcome, book appointments, and schedule follow-ups across multiple health centers, on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
AI video search at scale
A self-hosted AI pipeline that watches, transcribes, and understands millions of TikTok videos, then makes them searchable in under two seconds.
Vision AI for logistics
Turns existing facility cameras and phones into live measurements for parcels, trailers, and inventory. In pilots with large enterprise logistics operators.
A clear path from first call to launch.
Scope
A free call to understand the problem, the users, and what success looks like. You get a written plan and estimate.
Prototype
We build the riskiest piece first, so you see something real within the first week or two.
Build
Weekly demos, a shared board, and direct access to the engineer. No surprises at the end.
Launch & support
Deployment, monitoring, documentation, and handover. Or we stay on to keep improving it.
You work with the engineer, not a sales team.
Most agencies put their best engineer on the sales call, then hand your project to a junior team. At Demist, the engineer who built AI at two Y Combinator startups is the one who scopes, architects, and builds yours.
- Fast on hard problems. What takes experienced engineers days, we often solve in hours.
- Founder mindset. We've started and sold companies, so we build for business outcomes, not billable hours.
- Production-grade from day one. Monitoring, error handling, fallbacks, and security are part of the build, not an add-on.
- Full-stack AI depth. From prompt design to GPU clusters, from hosted APIs to self-hosted open-source models.
- Regulated industries. HIPAA-compliant infrastructure, security questionnaires, and enterprise contract reviews.
- You own everything. Your code, your accounts, your data. Fully documented.
We build our own AI product, too.
Demist AI is the company behind Attensive, AI vision for logistics. It turns existing facility cameras and smartphones into live measurements for parcels, trailers, and inventory, and it's in pilots with large enterprise logistics operators.
- Every client project benefits from what we learn shipping our own AI to demanding enterprise customers.
- We know what it takes to keep AI accurate outside the lab: real cameras, real lighting, real operators.

Common questions
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope. After a free call, we send a written proposal with a fixed price or a monthly rate, so you know the cost before anything starts. Many clients begin with a short Discovery Sprint to lower risk.
How fast can you start?
Usually within one to two weeks of a signed proposal. You'll see a working prototype early in the engagement.
Do I own the code?
Yes. All code, infrastructure, and accounts belong to you. We work in your repositories and cloud accounts whenever possible.
Can you work with our existing team?
Yes. We can work alongside your in-house team, review architecture, and help hire and onboard engineers, as we did when building the engineering team at Careforce AI.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, happily, before you share anything sensitive.
